As one of the first on site, a framer reads the blueprints and kicks off the building process. In this important role, framers install the structural members of a building and prepare them for the next phase of construction, where cladding* and other materials go into place. Framers are versatile and work with wood, steel, concrete, and other framing materials in their work.
