According to a new report from Fixr, which analyzed data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, women play a more significant role in construction employment than ever before. This is a positive development for the industry, which has long struggled with a shortage of skilled workers.
In the past ten years, employment has increased by 52.9%, from 840,000 women in 2013 to 1.28 million women in 2022, including more with a “seat at the table.”
Most women are employed in management, professional, and related occupations and sales and office occupations, with 436K (36.1%) working in each sector.
