According to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the share of women construction workers is at an all-time high and has steadily increased since 2016. Women currently comprise 14% of the construction workforce as of August 2022.

Did you know:

Washington, D.C., had the highest share of women in construction as of August with 17.6%. Arizona and Florida nabbed second and third place with 15.6% and 14.5%, respectively. Delaware had the lowest nationwide with 6.8%.

Interesting fact:

Women in the country own close to 13% of the construction firms. In 2020, nearly 4% of new construction firms were launched by women, and 9% of women-led construction firms have achieved revenues of over $500,000.
